Music videos are where cinematic production, creative concepts, and run and gun filmmaking come together. This article breaks down how runngun media approaches music video production in Los Angeles and beyond — from full-scale concepts, stage builds, choreography, and VFX to lean crews, lightweight lighting, real locations, and fast runngun shoots. Through projects with artists including Desiigner, NÚTSA, Lil Queen, Shamanika, and Baddie Li, we’ll show how different production methods can lead to the same goal: a distinctive visual world built around the artist, the music, and the audience.
NÚTSA’s “AMEN” is an official music video produced in Los Angeles by runngun media, reaching 400K+ views and featured by Billboard Georgia. The video was filmed across two locations: a church transformed into a wedding scene and a studio with multiple distinct visual sets. Working with a lean crew, we maintained the cinematic quality we consistently bring to our music videos. The project came together in true runngun fashion: we developed the concept in two days, sourced locations through Peerspace, moved straight into filming, and completed the edit in one day. From the first idea to the finished music video, the entire production was completed within a week — fast, lean, and cinematic.
Lil Queen’s “TIME” was the artist’s debut single and first official music video, directed by KolyaOlya and produced by runngun media in Los Angeles. The three-day production combined studio sets with true runngun filming in East Hollywood. For the night scenes, we found a local lobster restaurant that looked like an old-school gas station with neon glowing above it. We waited until closing, rolled a vintage Cadillac into the frame, replaced the restaurant’s existing bulbs with our Aputure lights, and went full runngun. A real location, a lean setup, and minimal intervention turned into a cinematic nighttime world built almost entirely in-camera.
Shamanika’s music video combined controlled stage production with a completely different kind of runngun filmmaking.Part of the project was shot on a soundstage, where we had full control over the environment, lighting, and visual setups. For the second part, we took the production to New York and switched gears completely - moving through different locations across the city with a compact crew and a SnorriCam rig.Instead of building every environment, we used New York itself as part of the visual language, capturing movement, streets, architecture, and the energy of the city around the artist. Two production approaches, one visual world: controlled when we needed it, runngun when the city gave us something better.
G-Consta’s “Aston Martin” featuring Grammy-nominated rapper Desiigner was produced in Los Angeles with runngun media and has reached 551K+ views. The music video was shot in true runngun style, using a compact crew and lightweight lighting setups instead of a traditional large-scale production. Moving fast between setups allowed us to keep the production flexible while maintaining the cinematic look of a major hip-hop release. Featuring Desiigner, the artist behind the global hit “Panda,” the project shows how our runngun approach scales to established artists: lean production, minimal gear, fast execution, and cinematic results.
A music video doesn’t have to end with the music video. At runngun media, we also turn productions into viral short-form content designed for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.BTS moments, unused footage, alternate takes, hooks, loops, and vertical edits can become a complete content campaign around the release. The goal isn’t just more views — it’s turning attention into an audience that stays with the artist after the release.Want to see how we build viral content and grow audiences? “Red to Black” was filmed in just four hours using our $2,990 one-location music video package - our leanest production option and a perfect fit for live music videos and bands. One location doesn’t have to mean one look. We use lighting, camera work, and location selection to turn a standard live performance into a cinematic music video. For this project, the main stage featured an LED backdrop, while a separate laser setup created an additional visual space without moving the production. A big part of the final look comes down to choosing the right location. We know Los Angeles spaces that can deliver multiple distinct setups under one roof - keeping production fast, efficient, and cinematic.
But the all content for a clothing brand doesn’t have to be fancy with pricey models or exotic locations. The real key is consistency! But make sure you stick to your brand guidelines to keep your identity strong. For Fleet Ground, it’s all about that grunge, carefree feel—where anyone passing by can grab what catches their eye.

Let's work together!
